Scholarships Overview

At the University of Missouri, there are a variety of scholarship opportunities available for both Undergraduate and Graduate students within the School of Visual Studies. Scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial need, and academic excellence. Whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student, the ScholarshipUniverse portal provides an easy way to apply for scholarships by answering a series of questions to determine your eligibility.

Undergraduate Scholarships

The School of Visual Studies offers a range of scholarships for undergraduate students who are pursuing their degrees in the arts. These scholarships support a variety of experiences, including study abroad, internships, and undergraduate research.

Graduate Scholarships

Graduate students in the School of Visual Studies also have access to a variety of scholarships to support their advanced studies in the arts. These awards recognize academic achievement, creative talent, and financial need.

Important Notes

Multiple Scholarships:

  • Students may apply for more than one scholarship or award. Only one application form and portfolio are required.

Portfolio Submission:

  • Portfolios must include clear, high-resolution images and video samples. All work should be created while enrolled at MU.

Deadline Reminders:

  • Undergraduate Scholarships:
    • The College of Arts and Science Scholarships and A&S Global Experiences Scholarships have an early deadline of February 1. Be sure to apply before this date if you're interested in these awards.
      • The general deadline for all undergraduate scholarships is March 1, 2025.
         
  • Graduate Scholarships:
    • The general application deadline for all graduate scholarships is also March 1, 2025.
