Oswaldo García is a visual artist, photographer, and publisher whose work explores personal archive, artist’s books and photography. He earned his BFA in Conservation and Restoration of Art from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. As the founder of Gold Rain, a Mexican publisher of books and zines, he collaborates closely with authors and artists to amplify underrepresented voices. His work has been exhibited in galleries across Mexico and the USA, and is part of collections at The MET Museum, SFMOMA, The New York Public Library, and Harvard University. He has received the Shannon Michael Cane Award from Printed Matter and completed residencies at the Center for Book Arts, New York, and Calipso Press, Colombia. Oswaldo Garcia is a second year MFA student in Riso & Photography.
