Oswaldo García
Oswaldo García earned his BFA in Conservation and Restoration of Art from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, México. He is visual artist, printer, and publisher who uses the medium of artist’s books and zines to give space to stories and amplify underrepresented voices through a blend of design, bookmaking, photography, and other disciplines. His work embraces film photography, risograph printing, and close collaboration with authors and artists. Has received the Shannon Michael Cane Award from Printed Matter, and his work is included in the collections of The MET Museum Special Collections Library, the New York Public Library and the Harvard University Fine Arts Library, among others. Has been artist in residence at the Center for Book Arts, New York and Calipso Press, in Cali, Colombia. Oswaldo García is a 1st year MFA candidate in Riso & Photography. @iam0sw @goldrainbooks
