Desireé Moore is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker who hybridizes modes and media technologies. Her practice is driven by her fascination with collections and archives. Her recent work emphasizes themes of material and digital culture, and loss in the 21st Century.
Moore’s current research has received significant support from True/False Film Festival, UnionDocs Center for Documentary Art, and Winterthur Museum. Her work has been presented at venues like The Momentary, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, FotoFocus Biennial, Aesthetica Film Festival, Borscht Film Festival, The Armory Show, and the Pratt Institute. Moore collaborates with Anna Elliott and Robin Schwartzman on their traveling project Barter Boat which has been programmed in Baltimore, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, and more.
