SVS Art History Learning Objectives

Students who complete a degree in Art History will be able to::

• Demonstrate a basic familiarity with key objects, ideas, and ways of seeing and talking about art media and objects.
• Situate art media and objects in their historical and social contexts. 
• Research and synthesize diverse forms of evidence to create new knowledge about visual and material objects.
• Communicate the significance of visual media to a variety of audiences and in a variety of formats.
