Farëna Saburi is an immigrant artist born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Her work focuses primarily on women’s issues, immigration, gender, and the relationship of such concepts on the placement and experiences of people. Farëna earned her BFA from Columbia College and is currently a third year MFA candidate in Painting & Drawing.
