Xiaolei Guo's research interest is at the intersection of Virtual Reality, User Experience Design and Education. She has conducted interdisciplinary research in designing, developing, and evaluating immersive learning experiences that enhance learner engagement and interaction with content, leading to meaningful outcomes.

Her work has been published in the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Proceedings of the ACM on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, the International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, and Visual Intelligence Journal.

Xiaolei began her career as a UX designer and has always been interested in work that combines technology and design.
