Bio

Viviana is a writer, filmmaker, and former Fulbright Scholar from Colombia. She has written and directed several narrative short films and has experience in television as a writer and producer. Viviana produced the documentary TV series Traveling (2014) for the Public Television Channel Telecaribe and served as a writer for the narrative TV series Hotel, Sweet Hotel (2023). Hotel, Sweet Hotel earned several awards, including Best Original Story, Best Foreign Language Series, and Best TV Pilot in the Independent Shorts Award in LA. It was also an Official Selection at the Die Seriale Festival in Germany and aired on the television networks Canal Trece, Teleantioquia, Señal Colombia, and Canal Capital. 

Since 2006, Viviana has occasionally contributed to various publications in Colombia, writing about film and politics. She has also taught directing and screenwriting at several universities in both Colombia and the U.S.
