Bio

Nick Potter is a writer, cartoonist, multimedia artist, and educator. His research and creative practice focus on narrative and image-text relationships across various forms of media. He is the author of two full-length collections of comics and hybrid narrative, New Animals (Subito Press/Calamari Archive Press) & Big Gorgeous Jazz Machine (Driftwood Press), as well as, Static Gifs (Greying Ghost Press), a chapbook of comics poetry. He is a recipient of the John Hawkes Prize in Fiction, and his first book, New Animals, was winner of the Subito Press Prize for Innovative Prose and was reissued in an expanded edition by Calamari Archive Press. As an educator, Potter teaches courses on subjects of writing, narratology, media theory, videogames, comics, cartooning, and the video essay.
