Michael Coleman is a documentary filmmaker, editor, and educator. He is a prolific film-viewer and lifelong student of the craft and history of cinema. His short film DV Footage Log 2014-2020, premiered at the second annual Film Diary NYC series at the Millennium Film Workshop. He produced the feature documentary To Love The Void , which premiered at the Brooklyn International Film Festival. Michael was also selected as one of three Murray Center students, in the University of Missouri Graduate Program for Documentary Journalism, to screen a rough cut of his work in progress feature film Satan’s Greatest Lies at the First Look Film Festival, hosted by the Museum of Moving Images in Queens, NYC. In May of 2024, Michael was awarded Best Director for a 30 minute version of the film at the Stronger Than Fiction Film Festival.
