Sophie Pickering (4/1/24 - 4/12/24, Reception: Fri. Apr 12, 5:30-7:30pm) earned their BA in Studio Art with a concentration in Fibers and Spanish and Hispanic Studies from Earlham College. They work in papermaking and miniature sculpture to explore time and domestic space in relation to grief. Pickering is an MFA candidate in Fibers.

Over seven weeks, MFA candidates of Mizzou’s School of Visual Studies will showcase the culminating work of their graduate degrees. The work spans the disciplines offered by the department: photography, RISO, fibers, painting and drawing, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture. Each exhibition will take place in the Bingham Gallery (Fine Arts Building, 505 Hitt Street, Columbia, MO) and host separate receptions and special events. All events are free and open to the public.
