Bio

Ian Etter (b. Elmendorf AFB, AK) received his MFA in Drawing and Intermedia from the University of Iowa in 2013. Etter’s work has been included in group shows at Tiger Strikes Asteroid in Brooklyn, NY, The Wassaic Project in Wassaic, NY, Ortega y Gasset Projects in Brooklyn, NY, Spring/Break Art Show in New York, NY, Collar Works in Troy, NY with solo shows at Practice Gallery in Philadelphia, PA and Legion Arts in Cedar Rapids, IA. Etter’s drawings were featured in the Spring Issue 17 2020 of Art Maze Mag and included in multiple registries including White Columns in NY, NY, TSA in Brooklyn, NY and Ortega Y Gasset in Brooklyn, NY. His curatorial projects have been exhibited at Spring/Break art show for multiple years and featured on ARTNews.com. Etter has contributed writings to catalogs published through the University of California and Locate Arts.

Currently the Foundations Coordinator for the School of Visual Studies at Mizzou, Etter has taught as lead faculty in the Foundations Department at the University of North Texas, Digital Art at the University of Texas at Dallas and Foundations at the University of Iowa.
