Wilson Minshall

Wilson Minshall is an intermedia artist born in Little Rock, Arkansas and received their BFA from Memphis College of Art in Painting and drawing.Their work is concerned with contemporary notions of personal and public identity and the possibilities of fluidly exchanging traces of memory between these contexts. Their subject matter is diaristic, utilizing processes of drawing and collage to juxtapose intimately observed portraiture, found ephemera and digital imagery to create physical responses to virtualization and self-censorship. A queering of social limitations is central to their practice, allowing for subtle conversations of remembering and inter/personal agency to emerge from transitional moments in time.

Wilson is currently based in Columbia, MO, working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri.
