Art Program

Graphic Design Media Area

The graphic design media area consists of five sequential courses that prepare students for practice in the design field. In addition to this we offer courses that enable students to develop a greater depth of knowledge in a specific graphic design topic (i.e. Packaging Design, Corporate Identity Design, Letterpress Printing, Hand Lettering and Design History).

Our graduates are getting great jobs from coast to coast in all areas of design. From MCA records in Los Angeles to Cosmopolitan Magazine in NYC, from Hallmark cards to Nestle Purina they are making their mark in the world of design. Our alums have won Grammys, Emmys, Addys, have been featured on TheDieline, the Today Show and won many other awards for design. They are entrepreneurs starting businesses small and large, from design studios to hand lettering businesses, freelance design to international companies selling all over the globe.

Our students have gotten first jobs at: VML Kansas City, Claire/Icing, Hobby Lobby, Ogilvy Mather, Ulta Beauty, ModCloth, Jawbone, Chase Design NYC, Town and Country Magazine and The U.S State Department just to name a few. They have had internships at Disney Yellow Shoes, Rachel Ray Magazine, Food and Wine magazine and more!
