The University of Missouri’s School of Visual Studies’(SVS) Art on the Move Outreach Program presents a photo exhibition by MU alumna and Osage Beach native, Mackenna Surdyke Bennett. Surdyke-Bennett received her BFA from MU with an emphasis in photography.

Kayla Huett, a Poplar Bluff native and University of Missouri alumna, uses photography to artistically document life in rural Missouri. Submitted photo

"We catched fish and talked, and we took a swim now and then to keep off sleepiness," is a quote from Mark Twain's novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. It is also the inspiration for Poplar Bluff native Kayla Huett, who uses photography to document the essence of life in rural Missouri.

An art exhibit made possible by the University of Missouri's School of Visual Study’s “Art on the Move” initiative was hosted at Alexander’s in Farmington on Wednesday, featuring artwork by Farmington native and MU alum Hannah Reeves.
