BFA in fibers from the University of North Texas

Bio

Marina G. Cano graduated with a BFA in Fibers at the University of North Texas and earned an associates degree in Fashion at the El Paso Community College. As a mixed Mexican American woman, Cano makes hybrid craft objects that manifest her experience living on the U.S Southwest Mexico Border. Cano’s recent body of work collages objects and traditional craft processes that speak to the bi-cultural aesthetics within the borderland region. Cano is a third year MFA candidate in Fibers.
